ASKO is a Swedish-origin brand that builds dishwashers and compact washers and dryers to a different plan from American machines. Appliance Masters repairs ASKO appliances in South Florida and Tampa Bay, names the price before the repair and backs the work with a written warranty.

An ASKO laundry pair is about 24 inches wide, which is why it is found in condo closets where a full-size pair does not fit. The washer has no rubber bellows at the door: ASKO seals the drum with a steel ring it calls Steel Seal, so the usual front-loader repair, a torn or moldy boot, does not exist here. Many models take only cold water and heat it inside the machine, and many run on a 208 to 240 volt supply, so the wiring matters as much as the appliance. The dishwashers are built around a stainless steel tub. All of this changes how the machine is opened and tested, and a technician has to know it before he arrives. We are independent, so an appliance still under ASKO's warranty should go to the manufacturer first.

Common Asko Appliance Issues

Dishwasher shows F11

A drain fault: water remains in the tub. Clean the filter in the bottom of the tub and check that the drain hose is not kinked behind the cabinet. If water still stands, the drain pump is blocked or has failed.

Dishwasher shows F12

A water inlet fault. Check that the supply valve under the sink is fully open. If it is, the inlet filter is clogged or the inlet valve is not opening, and both are reached from the base of the machine.

Dishwasher shows F10 or F40

Too much water, or water coming in when it should not. Close the supply valve. The meaning of these codes differs between ASKO generations, so we read them against the manual of your model before a part is ordered.

Washer that shakes or will not spin

A compact washer spins fast and needs a level, solid floor. A new installation that shakes may still have its transport bolts in place. On a machine that used to run quietly, the shock absorbers or the drain pump are tested.

Dryer that takes too long

ASKO sells vented, condenser and heat pump dryers. A vented model needs a clear vent. Condenser and heat pump models need their filters and condenser cleaned, and when those are blocked the dryer runs for hours without a fault code.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you an authorized ASKO service company?▼

No. We are an independent company and repair ASKO appliances that are out of the manufacturer's warranty.

Can you get parts for ASKO?▼

Parts are ordered by model and serial number. Give us both when you call and we check availability before the visit.

Why does my ASKO washer have only one water hose?▼

Many ASKO washers are cold-fill. They take cold water and heat it inside the machine, which is also why many of them need a 208 to 240 volt supply.

My ASKO dryer has no vent hose. Is that a fault?▼

No. Condenser and heat pump dryers do not vent outside. They collect water in a container or send it to a drain, and they need their filters cleaned regularly.

Do you repair a stacked ASKO pair in a condo closet?▼

Yes. The pair is taken out, repaired and set back level, and we arrange building access before the visit.
