A Samsung appliance usually tells you what is wrong before it stops: a code on the display, a chime, a row of blinking bars. Appliance Masters reads the code, tests the part behind it and repairs Samsung refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers and ranges across South Florida and Tampa Bay. You hear the price before the work starts, and the diagnostic is free with the repair.
Most Samsung machines in Florida homes are French-door and side-by-side refrigerators with an ice maker in the door, front-load washers with a matching dryer, and slide-in ranges. They are built around control boards and sensors, so a fault shows up as a code far more often than as a noise. The code names the circuit, not the part: a drain code can mean a blocked filter, a kinked hose or a dead pump. That is why we test before we order anything. We are an independent repair company and not a Samsung service center. If your appliance is still inside the manufacturer's warranty, call Samsung first. Once it is out of warranty, the repair is ours to do.
Common Samsung Appliance Issues
Refrigerator shows OF OF and stops cooling
This is Cooling Off mode, the showroom setting, and not a breakdown. Lights and display work, the compressor does not run. On most models, holding the two upper left buttons for five to eight seconds until the chime switches it off. The exact buttons differ by model, so check the manual if the first try does nothing.
Ice around the fan, code 22E or 22C
The code points to the fan of the refrigerator compartment. In humid air, frost builds behind the rear panel until the blades hit it, and the first sign is a buzzing that stops when the door opens. Thawing clears the noise for a while. The repair is finding why the frost forms: a blocked drain, a defrost sensor or a door that does not seal.
Washer stops on 5C, 5E, 4C or UB
5C and 5E mean the water is not draining, so clean the pump filter behind the small door at the bottom front before anything else. 4C and 4E mean the washer is not getting water: check that both taps are open and the hoses are not kinked. UB and UE mean the load is off balance. If a code returns on an empty drum, a part has failed.
Dryer heating error
Codes such as HC and hE report a heating fault, and airflow is the first suspect. Clean the lint screen and look at the vent hood outside while the dryer runs. If air moves freely and the code stays, we test the heating element, the thermistor and the thermostats.
Dishwasher shows LC or LE
The leak sensor in the base has found moisture. Shut off the water and the power. The source can be a door gasket, a hose clamp, the sump seal or plain oversudsing from hand soap. We find the leak, dry the base and test a full cycle before we leave.

Are you an authorized Samsung service center?▼
No. Appliance Masters is an independent company that repairs Samsung appliances after the manufacturer's warranty has ended. Our own work is covered by a written warranty.
My Samsung refrigerator lights up but does not cool. What should I check?▼
Look at the display. OF OF, O FF or scrolling bars mean Cooling Off mode, which you can switch off yourself. If the display is normal and both sections are warm, call us: the fault is in the fans, the defrost system or the sealed system.
What does 5C or 5E mean on a Samsung washer?▼
The washer cannot drain. Clean the drain pump filter and check that the drain hose is not kinked or pushed too deep into the standpipe. If the code comes back, the pump or its wiring needs testing.
My Samsung range shows SE. Can it be fixed?▼
SE is a shorted key on the touch panel. Switch the range off at the breaker for a minute once. If the code returns, the panel or the control board is replaced, and the range itself stays in service.
